End of Phase 2, Results

My 40 days of Phase 2 has ended

I finally reached the end of Phase 2.  I have  to tell you that even my husband was surprised that I completed it.  We were in his truck one evening talking about my diet progress and he admitted that he thought I would have already given up.  But I must also tell you that he is very proud of me that I didn't cave in.  40 days without him waking me up with my coffee (with real cream, of course!) deliverd to my bedside.  I missed that!  But I made it!

This is what happens when you end phase 2:  Day 40 is your last hCG injection.  Day 41-43 you continue the 500 calorie diet but WITHOUT the injections.  Then starts Phase 3.  In my last post I said I was at -21.5 pounds and I wanted to lose an additional 5 before the end Phase 2.  I am excited to tell you that at the end of my 40 days I have lost a total of 27.4 pounds.  I beat my goal by 1.1 pounds!  WooHoo!

"Stabilization" or Phase 3

The focus during stabilization is to increase my calories, avoiding most sugars and carbs.  To stabilize correctly, I will not gain more than 2 pounds during the 3 weeks that I am in Phase 3.  Once I have stabilized, I move on to an additional 3 weeks of "Maintenance" or Phase 4.  These two phases are often overlooked and this is a HUGE MISTAKE!

The reason I say that it's a huge mistake to bypass these phases, is because this is the time that you learn how to eat in normal life situations.  It's when you learn about your body and how the choices you make affect not only your weight, but also how you feel.  This is an experimental time.  Could you continue to lose weight during stabilization?  Yes, but that is not the point.  You want to eat as clean as possible.  But when you do have a special meal or occasion, you can think it out.  Reason with yourself and decide what to do.  If you want that slab of cake or just a sliver....  If you want one serving or two of that delicious potato salad....  You get the idea.  If you can reason with yourself that you are satisfied and stop eating and then stick to that decision, you gain confidence and pride in yourself.  It only takes a few times of telling yourself, I can eat this or this much and I can lose it....  Isn't that how things went after the last diet?  Fooling yourself into thinking that the scale only moved a little...."I'll stop it before it goes any further".  I know that is how it was with me.  "Oh, it's only 5 pounds.  I am good.  I can drop that!"  Until the 5 moves to 7 or 8.  "Well, it's still not 10 pounds!  I am ok.  I won't gain anymore."  Then, before I knew it, I had packed on 20 pounds and slipping back into those stretchy pants.  So, now you understand why the next 2 phases are critical for me.  And now that so many of you are watching what I'm doing, I have to be good!  Lol.

Seriously, folks...

You guys have been really great.  Keeping up with my progress and emailing me your questions.  You all have been such an encouragement for me.  It feels really good when you guys drop in the office and comment on my posts and how you enjoy them.  And of course, even those who ask to see me in person.  I had one lady come to my office door and said that she just wanted to see me with her own eyes.  I had to chuckle.  Then just this week, one lady asked me "Are you the person who is losing all of the weight?"  I was sooo thrilled to say YES!!   So, I just want to thank you for the encouragement and support.

28 days "lighter"

28 Days "Lighter"

I started on Sept 1st and yesterday was four weeks exactly.  And I am proud to say not one cheat and down 21.5 pounds.  This past week I lost 4 pounds.  I'm proud of that, but what would happen had I cheated?  Of course, I would beat myself up first.  Then, I would need to make some adjustments for a day or two and get back on the horse.  But with only a limited time that I can be on this diet I wanted to make the most of it.  So, when you are doing this type of diet, just keep in mind that each day really matters for you to reach that first goal.

I know that sometimes our minds can get the best of us and we give in to temporary pleasure, but if you are on this program with me, and this happens to you, don't beat yourself up.  The important thing is to readjust and keep going.  That's what we are here for.  Don't give up.  Come in so we can talk it out and get you moving in the right direction.

I have only 10 days left in this phase to make the most progress that I can.

So, let's take a look back.  It's going to be very painful to share these photos with you.  But I want to show you what helps to keep me on track.  Let me caution you....some of these photos may be disturbing....  (sorry, it's true)
With my son late 2014 in Nassau, Bahamas.  We were at the top of a  military fort or battlement of some sort.  As you can see, I was so tired from the walk, I was about to pass out!!  The only thing worse than being so fat, was my blinding white legs!  Ugh.  Double dose of bad!
Isn't the water in Nassau beautiful?
I was too embarrassed to get into a bathing suit....
Oh my, look at that arm.... Yikes!
May 2015 England.  Yes, I'm working.  Gary and John David are bowling. (of course, I am not....that would exercise) But can you see the drink cup on the table?  I hate this picture.  Not only am I fat, I look frumpy as well.
Gosh this is painful.
June 2015 in Germany waiting to catch a plane home.  Of course checking emails and working from my phone... Man! I must really love those black stretchy pants!
What a angle....   Ugh.
So, let's see what got me in this shape?  Can you see what is in this picture?  I'm slathering mayonnaise on a saltine cracker.  My grilled cheese sandwich is ready and waiting.  There's a loaf of bread and behind my Large Coke Icee cup is a pack of hot dogs!  And I just noticed that double chin!  OMG Thank goodness for Kybella!
So guys, there you have it!  That is my motivation.  And to let you in on another little secret... I was not even at my heaviest when these pictures were taken.  That came just here recently.

But I am determined that I am going to do this.  And you can too!  Please, if you want to get started, give me a call or shoot me an email.  Do it NOW before the holidays roll around!

3 Weeks!

3 Weeks Down!

When I started this little venture, I had gotten up to a size 14 and it was TIGHT!  I knew that I was NOT going to buy a 16.  I was already in an XL shirt.  And elastic waistband was both my friend and my foe.  I looked in my closet and see all my cute "little" clothes that I could no longer wear.  Sadly hanging there is an Adrianna Papel size 10 with the price tag still dangling....  Buying an XXL or 16 was not an option.  So, I squeeeeeze into the same old boring thing I have and go about my fat day.... Truthfully, I was so down about what I had allowed myself to look like, I couldn't even change in front of a mirror for fear that I might get a glimpse of my body.  It had gotten so bad that I would only change clothes when my husband was not around or hide in the closet.  I was basically disgusted with myself.  And what's worse, I know how to lose weight.  I even can tell clients how to lose weight.  But I wouldn't take my own advice.
So, I was at the brink.....lose weight or go to the plus size dept.

Now comes happier times!!  As you know, 3 weeks ago today I started phase two (low calorie) of our hCG diet.  And now 21 days later, I've lost 17.2 pounds!  On an average diet of 1/2 to 2 pounds per week, I would be doing good to have lost 6 pounds in a month!  I've lost 3.2 pounds this week.  Which is a little slower than I had been losing, but I'm not complaining!  I'm not hungry and I still have good energy!!  As a matter of fact, yesterday, I was in the dreaded closet and thought.... why not?  So, I slipped on a pair of pants, SIZE 12 and they FIT!  I was elated.  So this week, pounds are slower, but I'm definitely shrinking.  I feel lighter and that makes me feel mentally and emotionally encouraged to continue.
I have said this before, and I'll say it again....
this is the easiest diet I have ever tried!

Several of you have been following by my posts and I want to tell you thank you for encouraging me.  Some of you have even been motivated to join me!  One client in particular has already lost 15 pounds!  She is excited and getting ready for a cruise!  Like I tell her, just stick to it and you will reap the reward.  The rewards are so many; increased self-esteem, pride, accomplishment, better health over all, able to move easier, breathe easier and look HOT!

So, this week my friends, I will gladly take the
inch loss and getting into a size 12.
That's progress and that's what this journey is all about.

If anyone has any questions about the diet, comments about this post or interested to know how I'm doing, please feel free to email me.   If you know someone who is struggling with the same fight as I am, please forward this to them. Email Donna

So, I started last Thursday...and today is 1 week later: -9.5 pounds!

So, I started last Thursday...and today is 1 week later:
-9.5 pounds!
It's been a full week and let me tell you how that is going.  First of all, like I mentioned last time it was a bit of a mental struggle in the beginning to keep my mind off of all those yummy, sugary sweet or fat laden foods that got me so dog gone fat in the first place!  But after studying more and doing much more research, I learned sooo much more!  Let me share it with you.
Like I said last time, on hCG you should not be hungry.  But I was and I wanted to know what I was doing wrong.  But first, let's back up... I had a call from a client who told me about her experience with hCG.  She had gone to a local med clinic for weight loss and was given hCG at a very high dosage.  And even though she was STARVING, she continued to get the same dosage of hCG but now with Phentermine to control her appetite.  Well, that is NOT how the program is supposed to work.  So, as I began to dig more into the hCG diet, I started finding that prescribing Phentermine happens quite a lot.  And I was finding that people were failing at the diet because of being so hungry.  Different clinics would prescribe different dosages, yet so many were complaining about being overly hungry or having to have phentermine to keep them from eating.  Again, NOT how the program is supposed to work!  What I also found out is that a "follow up" appointment was only to  come in to get more hCG and phentermine Rx.  There was NO follow up.  No patient interaction.  Just product for money exchange.  Well, herein lies the problem, my friends!  And might I add, this is one of the KEY ways we are different.  The purpose of OUR follow up appointment is to find out how you are doing, how we can help you and if you are struggling, what can we do to help fix that.  Here's what happened to me and what SHOULD have happened to all those starving people on Phentermine:  ADJUST the dosage!  If only the people running these clinics would have taken the time to learn how to use hCG properly, they would have known to adjust their patients dosage.  Of course, I am not a doctor...so I can only tell you what I have learned and my personal experience.  But, No need for Phentermine!  Again, when on hCG you should NOT be excessively, ravenously hungry!  Normal hungry times with a growl to let you know it's time to eat is perfect!  So, my dosage was adjusted and guess what?.... I was better, but still a little more hungry than usual... so, adjust again.
Now, I think I have found my sweet spot!
It just baffles me how easy this diet is.  And let me tell you what a rep brought in the office for me today!  An assorted box of MINI BUNDT CAKES!  They were so cute and I am sure they were amazing....but it didn't phase me one bit.  I said No and never felt like I was missing out!  Love It!!
Next time I write I am going to try to remember to tell you about my energy level.....OMG!
If anyone has any questions about the diet, comments about this post or interested to know how I'm doing, please feel free to email me.   If you know someone who is struggling with the same fight as I am, please forward this to them.

It's Been 2 weeks!  I'm down 14 lbs!

This past week was interesting.  I've lost 14 pounds total but got stuck at 13 for about 3 days.  I was determined that I was not going to stress over it.  I made a little adjustment one day and I was back to losing!
I do have to tell you that I have been experimenting this past week a little.  And I have found some interesting things.  Of course, I would never tell anyone to venture away from the program.  I am doing this as a guinea pig.  I want to be able to answer questions as they arise.  I think this just gives me a better perspective of how to make adjustments or give advice that comes from my personal experience.  I am still shocked at how easy this has been for me.  I get a little hungry about the time that I should.  Then I eat and I'm good.  There are times that I still have to fight with my mind....no, I don't want those french fries that I cooked for my husband.  Not even one!  But experimenting within bounds is what I have tried out.  Oh, and I am loving to grill these days!  Garlic and onion powder have been wonderful friends.
Grilled Shrimp....Yummy!
I had said in my last post that I would tell you about the energy level.  I told someone the other day that I haven't had this much energy since I was 7!  So true!  As most of you know, I close the office at 6-7pm.  Normally I would go home, change clothes and grab something to eat while watching either the news, sports, Star Trek or Big Bang Theory re-runs.  Then by 10pm, I'm headed to the freezer for some Blue Bell Butter Pecan! and back to the TV.  Of course all the while texting or checking emails from the day.  My husband is so wonderful, he would bring me whatever I needed- something to drink, reading glasses, my dinner on a TV tray....  BUT, since I started taking the HCG, it's me waiting on him!  I even have a picture of him in the recliner with HIS tv tray!  Now, I go home, cook dinner and omg, I even do laundry!  It was when we had just finished dinner and Gary was doing the dishes and I was folding clothes that it hit me....I am not tired.  So to the laundry room I go, like I'm on auto-pilot throwing things into the washer.  Gary came in the room and I tell him, "Man, this stuff really IS giving me energy!".  So many times people say that and I think, yeah right....  But this is the real deal.  I've been a drop dead at the door kinda girl so long, that it was shocking to experience!  Well, there it is.  I'm doing great.  Taking my injection every day and getting more done than I have in a long time!
Plus losing 14 pounds in 2 weeks!!  Not too Shabby!
If you have any questions, feel free to Email Me!  I've enjoyed hearing from some of you and helping you to get started on a journey of your own!  Together we can do it!
